Michelle Whitehead Killed in Fiery 18-Wheeler Accident on Interstate 35 in Bruceville Eddy

Michelle Whitehead ID’d as Woman Killed in Bruceville Eddy Crash on Interstate 35
Bruceville Eddy, Texas (January 12, 2019) – The woman who was killed Wednesday morning in a traffic accident in Bruceville Eddy has been identified as Michelle Whitehead, according to authorities.
The tragic accident took place just before 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 9 on Interstate 35 near mile marker 317.
According to a local news source, Sidney Whitehead, of Henderson, was driving a semi hauling avocados on Interstate 35 when another 18-wheeler attempted to cut him off and bulldogs him.
The driver of the 18-wheeler then started to brake check Sidney for several miles and attempted to cut him off, but Sidney swerved to avoid being clipped and struck a dump truck that was parked in the median for construction.
As per the report, Sidney was pulled out of the truck by bystanders and he was severely burned when trying to get his wife Michelle out of the sleeper area of the cab.
Sidney was then transported to Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest in Waco and later transferred to Parkland Hospital in Dallas in unknown condition.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and did not check for other people in the truck after hearing the driver had been rescued. Michelle’s body was not discovered until the truck was towed and the cleanup was ongoing.
The crash remains under investigation.
