Minerva Hinojosa Killed in Progresso Pedestrian Accident on FM 1015
Authorities Identified 37-Year-Old Minerva Hinojosa Who Died after Being Struck by Vehicle on FM 1015 near Military Highway in Progresso
Progresso, Texas (May 29, 2022) – The woman who died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday morning in Progresso as Minerva Hinojosa, 37, of Weslaco.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal pedestrian crash happened at around 5:45 a.m. on FM 1015, just south of Military Highway and south of Rancho Toluca Road.
DPS said Hinojosa was walking northbound on FM 1015 when a Chevrolet Silverado hit her.
Hinojosa was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet stopped at the scene and rendered aid to Hinojosa.
No further details about the collision were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
