Elizabeth Prado Killed in Car Crash on Avenue Q in Lubbock

Elizabeth Prado Killed in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash on Avenue Q near 26th Street

Lubbock, Texas (January 2, 2023) – One person was killed, and three others were injured on New Year’s Day in Lubbock, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 1:00 a.m., January 1, on Avenue Q near 26th Street.

Police said Richard Trevino, 61, was driving an SUV southbound and was preparing to turn left when he collided with a northbound SUV.

Trevino and a juvenile passenger in his car sustained moderate injuries in the crash. Another passenger, 57-year-old Elizabeth Prado, was taken to UMC, where she later died.

The other driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
