Mitchell Jacob Levy Killed in North Austin Motorcycle Accident on West Howard Lane near Metric Boulevard

Austin, Texas (January 31, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed Monday night in a traffic collision in North Austin, according to the police.

The crash occurred just before 9:30 p.m. January 27, in the 1600 block of West Howard Lane near Metric Boulevard.

According to a preliminary investigation, Mitchell Jacob Levy, 25, was riding a black 2016 Yamaha motorcycle approaching the stretch of the roadway from eastbound when he lost control. He slid into the path of a westbound white 2016 Ford Explorer as it was turning southbound on Metric Boulevard, resulting in a collision.

The force of the impact caused the Ford to roll on its side.

Levy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ford driver, Lisa Lene Aiken, was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. She was later arrested for driving while intoxicated.

The police are investigating the crash.
