Gabriel Gallegos Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 1604 and Lockhill Selma Road

San Antonio, Texas (May 26, 2020) – The man who was killed in a suspected DUI crash early Saturday morning in San Antonio’s North Side has been identified as Gabriel Gallegos,44, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The fatal crash happened around 2:00 a.m. May 23, on eastbound Loop 1604 at Lockhill Selma Road.

Police said Mariana Campos-Jimenez, 20, was driving a Mercedes Benz sedan the wrong way on Loop 1604 when she crashed head-on into an SUV driven by Gallegos.

Gallegos was killed in the crash.

Campos-Jimenez was uninjured in the crash. She failed a field sobriety test. She was taken into custody and has been charged with intoxication manslaughter. She was released from jail after posting a $75,000 bond.

The crash remains under investigation.
