1 Killed and 1 Injured in Harris County Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Eastex Freeway near Gaston Street

Harris County, Texas (January 12, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed, and another was injured in a hit-and-run crash overnight in Harris County, according to the deputies.

The deadly accident happened on an Eastex Freeway feeder road near Gaston Street.

Deputies said two pedestrians were outside their vehicle, changing a tire when a silver SUV hit them.

The SUV fled the scene after the accident.

One of the pedestrians was killed in the crash. A woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
