Pedestrian Killed in Austin Crash on Interstate 35 at East Powell Lane
Austin, Texas (November 2, 2023) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car Thursday morning in north Austin, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash occurred shortly before 7:00 a.m. on the Interstate 35 service road at the intersection with East Powell Lane, just north of US 183.
As per the report, a vehicle hit the pedestrian on the roadway. Details on what led to the accident at this time remain unknown.
The pedestrian, whose name has not been released pending family notification, was declared dead at the scene.
Police closed the southbound frontage road during the investigation.
