Pedestrian in Wheelchair Killed in Longview Hit-and-Run Crash on N. 4th Street

Longview, Texas (January 20, 2020) – A man in a wheelchair was killed Friday evening in a hit-and-run crash in Longview, according to the police.

The deadly accident occurred at about 6:33 p.m., January 17, in the 3300 Block of N. 4th Street.

Police said the man was attempting to cross the street in a wheelchair when he was hit by a vehicle.

The driver fled the scene after the accident without rendering aid.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he later died. His identity has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
