Child among Several Injured in DeWitt County Car Crash on SH 72

DeWitt County, Texas (January 8, 2019) – Several people were injured when two vehicles collided near Cuero in DeWitt County on Saturday, according to the DPS.
The wreck happened on SH 72, approximately two miles west of Cuero on Saturday, January 5.
DPS said a vehicle was trying to pass another in a no-passing zone on the highway when it collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
The occupants of both vehicles, including a 7-year-old child, were injured in the crash. The number of the patients and the extent of their injuries were not immediately released.
It’s unclear whether there were citations in connection with the incident.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
