One Killed and One Injured in El Paso Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 10

El Paso, Texas (May 15, 2021) – One person was killed, and another was injured Saturday morning in a pedestrian accident in El Paso, according to officials.

The deadly accident happened just before 2:00 a.m. on Interstate 10 near Anthony Exit 0.

Officials said an SUV was traveling westbound on the interstate when the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a concrete barrier.

Two people in the SUV exited the vehicle and were waiting for the first responders when debris from the crash caused a second single-vehicle crash.

The two occupants from the SUV were struck by the second vehicle. One of them was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident closed the westbound lanes of I-10 West at Anthony.

An investigation into the crash is underway.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws, or statutes which were violated.
