Parish Brazzeal Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on US 183 near Cuero

Parish Shlene Brazzeal Killed in Cuero Two-Vehicle Crash on US 183 

Cuero, Texas (January 12, 2023) – A woman was killed Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle crash two miles south of Cuero, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened on January 10, on U.S. 183.

Authorities said Sandra Leske Marie, 82, of Cuero, was driving a 2017 Ford Explorer and was turning left into a private drive when Parish Shlene Brazzeal, 34, of Cuero, who was driving a 2009 Kia Sorento northbound, tried to pass her in a no-passing zone and struck the Explorer in the front-right panel.

The force of the impact caused Brazzeal’s vehicle to roll over severally. 

Brazzeal was taken to DeTar Hospital in Victoria, where she later died. She was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.

Marie was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
