Noe Toribio De La Cruz Killed in El Paso Pedestrian Accident on César Chávez Border Highway

El Paso, Texas (December 18, 2020) – The man who was fatally hit by a vehicle Saturday night in El Paso has been identified as Noe Toribio De La Cruz, 23, of Guanajuato, Mexico, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened on December 12, on the César Chávez Border Highway near Downtown.

Police said De La Cruz was running across the highway when he was hit by a westbound 2020 Volkswagen Jetta.

The force of the impact knocked De La Cruz into the eastbound lanes. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Jetta driver, Christian Franco, 37, of West El Paso, remained at the scene after the accident.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
