Person Hurt in Longview Pedestrian Accident on West Avalon Avenue and High Street

Longview, Texas (May 8, 2019) – A person was hit and injured by a driver who fled the scene on Tuesday morning in Longview, according to the Longview police.
The crash happened on Tuesday, May 7, on West Avalon Avenue and High Street.
According to the police, a silver Cadillac was traveling southbound on High Street when it struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the street.
The pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The driver involved failed to stop after the incident.
The police are searching for the hit-and-run driver.
