One Killed in Baytown Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 146 near Interstate 10

Baytown, Texas (May 7, 2020) – A pedestrian was fatally hit by an 18-wheeler Thursday morning in Baytown, according to police.

The deadly accident occurred just before 5:00 a.m. on State Highway 146 near Interstate 10, near the Chambers Town shopping center.

Police said the pedestrian was struck by an 18-wheeler in the northbound lanes of State Highway 146.

The victim was killed in the crash. Their identity has not been released.

The driver of the 18-wheeler remained at the scene after the accident.

The northbound traffic was diverted after the crash.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
