Police Officer Injured in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Wheatley Street near Ferguson Way

Houston, Texas (March 12, 2021) – An Houston police officer was injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Houston, according to authorities.

The crash happened at about 5:00 a.m. on Wheatley Street near Ferguson Way.

Police said the officer was driving an HPD cruiser southbound when it was rear-ended by an SUV.

The officer was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

 The SUV driver was being checked for any signs of impairment after the crash.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
