Woman Injured in Edinburg Two-Vehicle Crash on South Expressway 281

Edinburg, Texas (February 17, 2022) – A woman was injured Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Edinburg, according to the police.

The crash occurred just after 6:00 a.m., February 16, on South Expressway 281.

Police said a Ford Explorer was attempting to change lanes when it collided with a white pickup truck pulling a black trailer.

The impact caused the Ford to hit a concrete barrier and flip on its side, ejecting the driver who was not wearing a seatbelt.

The Ford driver was taken to the hospital for treatment. Her name has not been released.

The pickup driver fled the scene. The vehicle was described as a white pick-up truck pulling a black trailer with cones in the back.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information about the suspect or the vehicle is asked to call the Edinburg police at (956) 289-7700.
