Woman Struck, Killed by Vehicle on Milam Street in Houston

64-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Milam Street near Walker Street

Houston, Texas – A 64-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday afternoon in downtown Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 12:25 p.m., January 29, in the 900 block of Milam Street near Walker Street.

Police said the woman was walking in the crosswalk when she was struck by a white pickup truck, which was making a left turn.

The woman was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her name has not been released.

The driver stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. He failed to yield the right of way.

The police are investigating the crash.
