Santiago Serbin Jr. ID’d as Man Killed in Lubbock Crash on FM 2378 near CR 6500

Lubbock, Texas (December 23, 2022) – Authorities have identified the man who was killed Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash near Reese Center in Lubbock.

Santiago Serbin Jr., 68, died in the crash that happened at about 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21 on FM 2378 near CR 6500.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Serbin was driving on the wrong side of the road on FM 2378 when another vehicle heading northbound tried to avoid the crash by veering to the right.

For unknown reasons, both vehicles collided.

Serbin died in the crash.

The driver of the second vehicle was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
