Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Eastern Street in Amarillo

One Killed in Amarillo Bicycle Accident on Eastern Street

Amarillo, Texas (March 1, 2021) – A bicyclist was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run crash in Amarillo, according to police.

The deadly accident happened on February 28, in the 700 block of South Eastern Street. 

Police said a man was riding a bicycle northbound on the street when he was rear-ended by a vehicle.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department is investigating the crash.
