At Least One Injured in Houston Fire Truck Crash on Southwest Freeway at Chimney Rock

Houston, Texas (September 18, 2020) – At least one person was injured in a chain-reaction crash Thursday night in Houston, according to a local news source.

The crash happened on September 17, in the northbound lanes of Southwest Freeway at Chimney Rock.

According to the report, Houston firefighters had responded to a motorcycle crash and were stopped in the northbound lanes of the freeway when two other vehicles collided. The impact caused one of those vehicles to rear-end the HFD Ladder 51.

At least one of the drivers was taken to the hospital for treatment.

No other details were provided.

An investigation is underway.
