10 Injured in Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 969

Austin, Texas (October 27, 2019) – Ten people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in East Austin, officials said.

The crash happened just after 6:30 p.m. on October 26, in the 13800 block of FM 969.

Officials said the crash involved two vehicles.

One of the vehicles caught fire, and one person was pinned inside.

A man in his 40s was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. He was declared a trauma alert.

Another adult was declared a trauma alert and was airlifted to Dell Seton Medical Center with potentially serious injuries.

A third adult was also declared a trauma alert and was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center in an unknown condition.

Six children were taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

No other details were available.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
