Ernest Medley Killed in Reno Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Highway 199
Parker County, Texas (January 10, 2020) – A man was killed Wednesday night in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in the Reno area, according to the authorities.
The deadly accident happened on Wednesday, January 8, on Highway 199.
Authorities said Ernest Medley, 51, was walking off the shoulder of the highway with his fiancée’s son when he was hit by a vehicle driven by Boyd High School assistant principal Kevin Evans. They were walking home after buying a soda at the Dollar General.
Medley was killed in the crash.
Evans fled the scene after the accident and was later arrested. He is facing an intoxication manslaughter charge.
The crash remains under investigation.
