Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Crash on US-59 in Sugar Land

Man Critically Injured in Sugar Land Motorcycle Crash on US-59

Sugar Land, Texas (June 11, 2021) – A man was critically injured in a motorcycle crash early Thursday morning in Sugar Land, according to officials.

The crash happened just before 2:00 a.m., June 10, on US-59 over the Brazos River.

Officials said the man was riding his motorcycle southbound on the highway when he lost control and fell off of his bike.

He was then run over by another vehicle.

The driver of that vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.

The accident closed all the southbound lanes of US-59 for several hours. The lanes have since been reopened.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
