Several Injured in Lubbock Four-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 62/82 and FM 1585 near Wolfforth

Lubbock, Texas (June 21, 2020) – Several people were injured Saturday evening in a multi-vehicle crash near Wolfforth, according to a local news source.

The crash was reported around 6:00 p.m. on June 20, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 62/82 and Farm-to-Market Road 1585.

DPS said a semi-truck, hauling a wind turbine blade, was turning off of FM 1585 onto U.S. 62/82 and was blocking both the eastbound and westbound lanes, causing traffic to stop and back up in both directions.

A vehicle then crashed into three other vehicles that were stopped.

Several people in one of the vehicles were taken to Covenant Medical with minor injuries where they were treated and released.

The crash remains under investigation.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
