1 Killed, 1 Injured in Car Crash on Stemmons Freeway in Dallas

One Killed and One Injured in Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash on Stemmons Freeway near West Mockingbird Lane

Dallas, Texas (March 28, 2021) – One person was killed and another was injured early Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Dallas, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 1:41 a.m., March 27, in the 6900 block of Stemmons Freeway, near West Mockingbird Lane.

Deputies said a 2007 Chevrolet pickup was exiting Interstate 35E at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control, struck a curb, rolled, went airborne, and crashed into a parked black 2013 Chrysler 300.

The Chevrolet driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

A passenger in the Chevrolet was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
