Six Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on I-30 at Cherry Lane in West Fort Worth

Six Injured in West Fort Worth Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 30 at Cherry Lane

Fort Worth, Texas (June 1, 2020) – Six people, including an officer, were injured on Monday after a police chase ended in a crash in West Fort Worth, a local news source reported.

The crash occurred on Interstate 30 at Cherry Lane.

According to the report, Blue Mound Police were pursuing an older pickup truck that was heading southbound on Loop I-820, and the driver frequently traveled the wrong way.

The pickup then traveled eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-30 and crashed into another vehicle at Cherry Lane. A Fort Worth police cruiser was also hit.

The officer in the police cruiser was treated and released at the scene.

Two other people sustained serious injuries in the crash while three others sustained minor injuries. The victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.

An investigation is underway.
