Thomas Allen, Marilyn Allen Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-10 near Taylor’s Bayou
Thomas Allen and Marilyn Allen Hospitalized after Jefferson County Crash on I-10
Jefferson County, Texas (June 20, 2019) – A multi-vehicle collision sent two people to a hospital with major injuries on Wednesday afternoon near Taylor’s Bayou in Jefferson County, according to the DPS.
The wreck was reported at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, on Interstate 10.
DPS said a 2016 Kenworth tractor-trailer was traveling westbound on I-10 when it slowed down for traffic ahead and was rear-ended by a 2004 Fleetwood RV.
The driver of the RV, Thomas Allen, 68, of Florida, and his passenger, Marilyn Allen, 67, sustained serious injuries. Thomas was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth while Marilyn was transported by medical helicopter.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, identified as Dauphin Lereste of Florida, was unhurt.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
