Tiffany Lofaso Injured in Fatal Brown County Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 84
Brown County, Texas (August 26, 2021) – According to the Texas DPS, one person was killed, and two others were injured Tuesday morning in a head-on collision in Brown County.
The fatal crash happened around 9:25 a.m., August 24, on U.S. Highway 84, about 5.5 miles southeast of Early.
DPS said Tiffany A. Lofaso, 38, of Killeen, was driving a 2016 Dodge Challenger while Joshua Chapa, 36, of Ranger, was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger.
Chapa pulled out of a roadside park, turned left, and the Ford collided head-on with the Dodge.
Chapa, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Hendrick Medical Center in Brownwood, where he later died.
Lofaso was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with serious injuries. A 15-year-old boy who was riding with her was taken to Hendrick Medical Center in Brownwood in stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
