Toddler Critically Injured in Amarillo Three-Vehicle Crash at 9th Avenue and Loop 335

Amarillo, Texas (September 10, 2019) – A toddler was critically injured in a three-vehicle crash Monday morning at an Amarillo intersection, according to the authorities.

The crash happened on Monday, September 9, in the area of 9th Avenue and Loop 335.

DPS said a vehicle was heading westbound on 9th Avenue when it failed to yield the right of way to a vehicle which was northbound on Loop 335, resulting in a collision.

The impact ejected a toddler from one of the vehicles. The child was improperly secured in the car seat.

The toddler was to Northwest Texas Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A third vehicle was damaged due to debris.

The crash remains under investigation.
