Virginia Raney Killed in Lamar County Two-Vehicle Crash on US 271 near 4th Street

Lamar County, Texas (December 13, 2022) – A woman was killed on Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in Lamar County, according to the troopers.

The fatal crash happened on December 11, on US 271 near 4th Street.

Troopers said Bryson Stee, 19, of Scroggins, was driving a pickup truck southbound when he crossed the center lane and hit a northbound vehicle driven by Virginia Raney, 24, of Bogota.

Raney was pronounced dead at the scene.

Stee was taken to Paris Regional Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
