One Killed in Weslaco Car Crash on Interstate 2

Weslaco, Texas (January 12, 2021) – One person was killed in a rollover crash Saturday night in Weslaco, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash happened around 7:30 p.m., January 9, on Westbound Interstate 2.

According to the report, officers responded to the scene and found a maroon 2019 Ford Fiesta that had rolled over. The driver was taken to a local hospital where she later died. Her name has not been released.

Surveillance video shows another vehicle was involved in the crash, but that driver fled the scene.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to the Weslaco Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at 956-968-8591.
