Johnathan Michael Gentry Killed in Lubbock County Motorcycle Accident at FM 1264 and Dana Street

Lubbock County, Texas (August 24, 2020) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident Saturday morning in Lubbock County, just north of Lubbock, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly crash happened around 11:20 a.m., August 22, at the intersection of FM 1264 and Dana Street.

DPS said a motorcycle and a pickup truck were heading northbound on FM 1264 when the pickup slowed down to turn onto a private drive and was rear-ended by the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, Johnathan Michael Gentry, 29, of Lubbock, was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers said he failed to control his speed.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
