Woman Hit, Killed by Car on Garth Road in Baytown

Woman Killed in Baytown Pedestrian Accident on Garth Road near Seabird Street

Baytown, Texas (December 8, 2022) – A woman was fatally hit by a vehicle Tuesday night in Baytown, according to the deputies.

The deadly accident happened just before 10:00 p.m., December 6, in the 7500 block of Garth Road near Seabird Street.

Deputies said the woman and her husband were crossing the road, heading to a store, when she was struck by an incoming Chevy pickup truck that had just changed lanes to avoid another vehicle, which had slowed down rapidly.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The Chevy driver stayed at the scene and was not impaired.

The victim’s husband was uninjured in the crash.

The deputies are investigating the crash.
