Woman Hit, Killed by Vehicle on IH-35 in Austin

Woman Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on IH-35

Austin, Texas (June 2, 2020) – A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle Monday night in Austin, a local news source reported.

The accident occurred shortly before midnight, June 1, on Interstate Highway 35, north of the 38 1/2 Street bridge.

Police said the woman was crossing the northbound lanes of the highway when she was hit by a vehicle.

The woman was killed in the crash. Her name has not been released.

The involved remained at the scene after the accident.

The crash closed the northbound lower deck of Interstate 35 between Dean Keaton and Airport Boulevard.

Motorists were diverted off at exit 237A.

The police are investigating the crash.
