70-Year-Old Man Dies in Hit-and-Run on Gessner Road in Houston

70-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Hit-and-Run Crash on Gessner Road

Houston, Texas – The 70-year-old man who was critically injured last month in a hit-and-run accident in Houston has died, according to the police.

The accident happened around 6:55 p.m., December 23, in the 2700 block of Gessner Road.

Police said the man was attempting to cross the street, outside of a crosswalk, when he was struck by a grey or silver sedan, possibly a Nissan Altima. The driver fled the scene after the accident.

The man was taken to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Examiner in critical condition where he was pronounced dead on January 5. His name has not been released.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information on the wanted driver and/or vehicle is urged to contact the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4072 or speak anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
