33-Year-Old Woman Killed in Houston DUI Car Accident on McCarty; Alberto Torres Arrested
Houston, Texas (February 1, 2019) – A 33-year-old woman was killed early Tuesday morning in an alleged DUI crash in Houston, according to police.
The tragic accident occurred at around 12:35 a.m. Tuesday, January 28 in the 800 block of McCarty Street and Market Street.
Police said lberto Hernandez Torres, 38, was driving a silver Dodge Nitro northbound on McCarty when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and hit a red Chevrolet Impala.
The Impala driver was declared dead at the scene of the accident. Her name has not been disclosed pending identification and notification of her family.
Torres was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
