Wyatt Randle ID’d as 12-Year-Old Boy Killed in Waxahachie Crash on Boz Road at Greathouse Road

Waxahachie, Texas (September 18, 2023) – The boy who died following a traffic crash involving an ATV and pickup truck Sunday evening in Waxahachie has been identified as 12-year-old Wyatt Randle.

The deadly crash took place in the area of Boz Road and Greathouse Road on Sunday, September 17.

Police said the ATV was heading westbound on Boz Road when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with Greathouse Road and collided with a Ford Ranger that was traveling northbound on Greathouse Road.

Four passengers in the ATV, all ages 16 and younger, were all ejected from the ATV.  All four passengers were airlifted to local hospitals, where one of the passengers, now identified as Randle, succumbed to his injuries.

All passengers in the ATV were not wearing seatbelts. Police believe the 14-year-old brother of Randle was operating the ATV.

The driver and passenger of the Ford Ranger were transported to a nearby hospital.

An investigation into the crash is underway.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
