One Critical, Others Injured in Amarillo Two-Vehicle Crash at River Road and St Francis Street

Amarillo, Texas (July 29, 2022) – According to the authorities, several people were injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Amarillo.

The crash happened on July 28, at the intersection of River Road and St. Francis Street.

Authorities said a vehicle was traveling northbound on River Road while another vehicle was traveling westbound on St. Francis Street. One of the vehicles ran a red light at the intersection and collided with the other vehicle.

A passenger in one of the vehicles was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other people involved in the crash sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
