Lauren Carreon ID’d as Woman Killed in Schertz Crash on Interstate Highway 35
Schertz, Texas (April 23, 2022) – Police have identified the woman who died early Saturday morning following a two-vehicle crash in Schertz as Lauren Carreon, 22, of New Braunfels.
The deadly accident occurred at about 2:00 a.m. in the 22250 block of Interstate Highway 35 North.
According to Schertz police, a Chrysler was traveling on the interstate when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the highway barriers several times.
Moments later, a Toyota heading northbound on Interstate 35 crashed into the Chrysler.
Carreon, who was a passenger in the Chrysler, died in the crash.
Both drivers of the Chrysler and the Toyota were transported to a hospital with major injuries. Their condition at this time remained unknown.
No further details were provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
