Eight Injured After Vehicle Crashes into Houston Fiesta Mart on Cullen Boulevard; Oswald McGlorie Jr Arrested

Houston, Texas (February 3, 2021) – Eight people were injured Saturday afternoon after a vehicle crashed into a Fiesta Mart in the Sunnyside area of Houston, according to police.

The crash happened on January 30, in the 9400 block of Cullen Boulevard.

Police said Oswald McGlorie Jr. was driving a gold SUV when he apparently accelerated through the front windows of the store.

The SUV went all the way to the registers, about 15 to 20 feet from the entrance.

Eight people including, a 9-year-old, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Some of the victims were hit by the SUV or struck by heavy debris.

McGlorie was arrested and taken into custody. He has been charged with intoxication assault.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
