Woman Hit, Killed by Vehicle on FM 2025 in Cleveland

38-Year-Old Woman Killed in Cleveland Pedestrian Accident on FM 2025 near FM 945

Cleveland, Texas (June 17, 2023) – A woman died after being struck by a vehicle on Friday morning in Cleveland, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The deadly crash happened at about 6:50 a.m. Friday, June 16, on FM 2025, just northwest of FM 945, in front of the CLW Lumber.

The DPS said the woman was walking southbound on the shoulder of FM 2025 when she was hit by a vehicle that was heading southbound.

The woman, whose name has not been released pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 17-year-old male driver of Coldspring told authorities that he fell asleep and his vehicle veered onto the shoulder and struck the pedestrian.

The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

No other details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
