2 Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on I-37 in San Antonio

Two Killed in San Antonio Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 37

San Antonio, Texas (June 5, 2022) – Two people were killed Sunday morning in a wrong-way crash in San Antonio, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m., in the 11400 block of Interstate 37 South near Elmendorf.

Police said a 2013 Ford Focus was traveling northbound in the wrong direction when it crashed into a southbound 2011 Toyota Corolla.

The Corolla then struck a tractor-trailer trailer before coming to a stop in the grassy median.

The Corolla driver and the Focus driver were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
