Bailey Butler Fatal Car Crash on Texas 95 in Bastrop

Bailey Butler ID’d as High School Student Killed in Bastrop Two-Vehicle Crash on Texas 95 near Mesquite Street
Bastrop, Texas (February 12, 2019) – The Bastrop High School student who was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday night in Bastrop has been identified as 18-year-old Bailey Butler, of Bastrop, according to the police.
The fatal crash happened at about 12:40 p.m. February 10, on Texas 95 near Mesquite Street.
Police said Butler was driving a 2008 Chevy Cobalt southbound on Texas 95 when she drifted into oncoming traffic and struck a northbound 2011 GMC Sierra driven by 47-year-old Danni Anderson, of Bastrop.
Butler was declared dead at the scene. Anderson was taken to St. David’s hospital with minor injuries.
The highway was closed for several hours following the crash.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Butler’s family pay for funeral expenses.
The police are investigating the crash.
