1 Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Richmond Avenue in Houston

One Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Richmond Avenue at Rogerdale Road

Houston, Texas (June 7, 2023) – A person was killed Thursday afternoon in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 1:45 p.m., June 1, in the 10500 block of Richmond Avenue at Rogerdale Road.

Police said a female was standing on the corner of Richmond Avenue at Rogerdale Road and was leaning forward into traffic, looking into eastbound vehicles. A red Toyota Tundra was traveling eastbound on Richmond Avenue, and as the driver approached the intersection, he struck the female who stepped into the roadway. The woman was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her name has not been released.

The Toyota driver remained at the scene and didn’t show signs of intoxication.

The police are investigating the crash.
