Man Killed in Houston Bicycle Accident at Westheimer Road and Greenridge Drive

Houston, Texas (May 31, 2022) – A bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle Monday night at an intersection in Houston, police said.

The fatal bicycle accident occurred at about 10:20 p.m. on May 30 near the intersection of Westheimer Road and Greenridge Drive.

According to Houston police, the bicyclist was attempting to cross Westheimer Road outside of the crosswalk when an eastbound white sedan hit him.

The bicyclist, believed to be a man in his 20s, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities said the sedan driver was not impaired at the time of the crash.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
