Woman Killed in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident on US 84 near 1585

Lubbock, Texas (March 23, 2020) – A woman was fatally hit by a vehicle Sunday morning in Lubbock near Slaton, according to the DPS.

The deadly accident happened just before 6:45 a.m. March 22, on U.S. 84 near the intersection with FM 1585.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the woman was walking in the westbound lanes of U.S. 84 when she was hit by a vehicle.

The victim was declared dead at the scene.

The driver was uninjured in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
