1 Injured in Crash Involving Dallas Fire-Rescue Engine on E R L Thornton Freeway in Dallas

One Injured in East Dallas Fire-Rescue Engine Crash on E R L Thornton Freeway

Dallas, Texas (December 30, 2020) – One person was injured Tuesday night in a traffic collision involving a Dallas Fire-Rescue engine in East Dallas, according to police.

The crash occurred around 10:10 p.m., December 29, on E R L Thornton Freeway near the Grand Avenue exit.

Police said the fire engine was responding to another accident on I-30 when it was rear-ended by a pickup truck.

One person sustained a minor injury in the crash. 

The pickup truck was damaged during the crash.

Officers said wet roads might have been factors in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
