61-Year-Old Man Dies in Fatal Houston Crash on West Montgomery Road

Houston, Texas (August 21, 2019) – A person was killed Saturday night in a traffic accident in Houston, according to police.

The fatal crash occurred at around 7:45 p.m. Saturday, August 17 in the 8100 block of West Montgomery Road.

Police said a grey Dodge Ram pickup truck hauling a trailer, was traveling eastbound and was turning northbound onto West Montgomery when it was hit by a maroon Chevrolet pickup truck that was traveling northbound on West Montgomery Road.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 61-year-old man, lost control of the vehicle and overturned.  The man, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

According to a witness, the deceased victim ran a stop sign at the intersection before the accident occurred.

The driver of the Dodge stopped at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement officers. Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
