Man Killed in North Austin Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (August 30, 2021) – According to the police, a man was fatally hit by several vehicles Sunday night in North Austin.

The deadly accident happened around 11:25 p.m., August 29, on Interstate 35 near Owen Tech Boulevard.

Police said the man was attempting to cross the interstate when he was struck by multiple vehicles.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The involved drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

The crash closed the southbound lanes of the interstate for several hours.

The police are investigating the crash.
