One Hospitalized after Amarillo Crash on Interstate 40 near Bushland Off-Ramp

Amarillo, Texas (August 18, 2022) – One person was sent to a hospital following a collision between a big and a car in Amarillo on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The wreck happened on westbound Interstate 40, just before the Bushland exit on August 17.

According to the authorities, a car was traveling eastbound on Interstate 40 when it side-swiped a semi-truck. After the impact, the car rolled several times and ended up on the west side of the road.

One patient was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
